The sound of the scissors cutting fabric and the sewing machine on, has been the soundtrack of my life, I just love it.

I remember when I was a little girl, I used to stare at my mum while teaching pattern cutting to the ladies at home and think: Wow, mum does magic!, She can create beautiful dresses just from drawing some lines on paper!

Francisca Rios Baños was born in 1981 in Southern Spain in Totana, a small city in Murcia Region. She grew up surrounded by needles, threads, sewing machines and patterns, as her mother was a very talented tailoress and seamstress at the time. Fran (as everyone calls her), used to watch her mum carefully teaching the students and dealing with clients.

Francisca finished her studies in Spain with an honour Degree in Fashion and decided to come to London at the young age of 22 years old.

After a few years in the Fashion Capital, Fran studied a Master's Degree in Costume Design for Performances at London College of Fashion. She hasn't stopped working since then in costume.

Fran worked with some of the best artists in the country, and represented the UK in the "Scenofest"; the most important festival in Europe of Extreme Costume in Prague, in 2011. If you want to check out her costume work, you can visit her portfolio.

Along that period, she started as a Fitter and Seamstress at Pronovias in London, and fairly soon she was transferred to Harrods to run the Bridal workroom there.

Once there, she was awarded repeatedly for her customer service excellence and expertise, including VIP Clients. Francisca had the opportunity to work with names such as Valentino, Elie Saab and the late Manuel Mota in Harrods. After a few years there, she decided to move on to the technical side of the Bridal and Couture field.

Fran spent nearly three years mastering her pattern cutting expertise before deciding to go solo.

"The majority of the clients there used to tell me: you should run your own label, and I thought, why not?.... that's how I started!"

Fran has shared a new view to brides when looking for their dream dress. She works closely and individually with each of them so they can truly enjoy the wonderful and creative process.

There is no room for stress and worries when you are getting your wedding dress, If they trust you, there are always happy endings.
